ESTABLISHED 2015

Studio Kaape is an interior design studio based in Oslo and London. The studio was founded in 2015 by the Norwegian interior architect Kirsti Prestmarken and the brand name is pronounced “KP”;)

“Studio Kaape co-exists with architects, interior architects and designers with the ability to manage small to industrial size projects. Our disciplined eyes ensure design and functionality evolves from concept to complex design completions, executed as ´design and build in collaboration with our long-term relationships with building teams.

We are located in the heart of Mayfair and share our office with the general building contractor Prime Property group . London has a magical drive, a free-spirit mentality and drives us to think´ out of the box. On the other hand “you can take a girl out of nature…but you can´t take nature out of a girl”. Norway is close-to-heart and our Scandinavian roots and craftmanship are fundamental in our practice. We keep “rooted” with our Scandinavian colleagues and network in Norway and love being part of The Brick in the heart of Oslo - Briskeby.

We are working with “man-made” ideas and “hand-made” creations and like the saying “Brilliant designs are multiple good evaluations of function, creativity and sustainability”. For each decision made we are responsible for our customers‘choices and for the planet. Our team strives for re-use, up-cycle and new-use and shares the sustainability policy of designing interior architecture made with longevity that lasts!

Studio Kaape is a boutique interior studio and a brand that over the years has been engaging a vivid portfolio of projects. I am very proud of the team and collaborators that have joined forces on the drawing board since summer 2015.

It is truly a dream to work with such a variety of customers dreams and visions that we are fortunate to execute.
