ESTABLISHED 2015

Studio Kaape is a interior design studio based in Oslo and London. The studio was founded by the Norwegian interior architect Kirsti Prestmarken in 2015 and the brand name is pronounced “KP” …;)

“Studio Kaape co-exists architects, interior architects and designers with the ability to project manage small to industrial size projects and our disciplined eyes ensure design and functionality evolves from concept to complex design completions, executed as ´design and build´ in collaboration with our long term relation building team.

We are located in the heart of Mayfair and share our office with the general building contractor Prime Property group . London have a magical drive, a free-spirit mentality and thrives us out of the box everyday. On the other hand “you can take a girl out of the nature…but you can´t take the nature out of a girl”. Norway is close-to-heart and our Scandinavian roots and hand-craftmanship are fundamental in our practice. We keep “rooted” with our colleagues at Gress and love being part of The Brick in the heart of Oslo - Briskeby.

We are working with “man-made” ideas and “hand-made” creations and like to say “Brilliant designs are multiple good evaluations of function, creativity and sustainability”. For each decision-made we are responsible for our customer but nevertheless for the planet. Our team strive for re-use, up-cycle and new-use of high-quality materials - a sustainability policy of designing interior architecture with a longevity that last!

Studio Kaape is a boutique interior studio and a brand that over the years have been engaging a vivid portfolio of projects. I am very proud of the team and co-labs that have joined forces on the drawing board since summer 2015. It is truly a dream to work with such a variety of customers and unique dreams that we are fortunate to execute…
